Add a text or logo watermark to a PDF
Place a text label or logo over every page of a PDF. Choose a diagonal, centered, or corner position, then adjust the watermark size and opacity before saving a new copy.
The original PDF is not changed. The watermark appears above the existing page content.
How to use Watermark PDF
- Select one PDF. Choose a document up to 50 MB from your device.
- Choose a watermark type. Enter text or select a PNG/JPG logo up to 5 MB.
- Set its appearance. Choose a position, size, and opacity.
- Name the output. Keep the suggested filename or enter another PDF name.
- Add and download. PDFArmy applies the watermark to every page and downloads a new copy.
Text and logo watermark options
Text watermarks support multiple lines and use your browser's text rendering, so a wide range of characters can be used. The watermark itself is rendered as an image and is not selectable as text. PNG logos can keep a transparent background; JPG logos are also accepted. The selected opacity controls how strongly the watermark appears.
Watermarks are added as visible page content, not as a separate removable PDF layer. Existing page text and images remain in the PDF.
File support and limitations
This tool accepts one PDF up to 50 MB and 2,000 pages, plus a PNG or JPG logo up to 5 MB. Password-protected or damaged PDFs may not open. Adding content to a digitally signed PDF changes the document and can invalidate its signatures. Keep the original PDF and review the downloaded file before sharing.
Privacy and file security
Your PDF, watermark text, and logo are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to PDFArmy. The PDF editing library loads from jsDelivr, so an internet connection is needed to load it; the CDN does not receive your selected files.

Can I use a text watermark or a logo?
Yes. Choose Text to enter a label, or Logo to add a PNG or JPG image. The selected watermark is placed on every page.
Can I change where the watermark appears?
Yes. Place it diagonally or centered, or choose a corner. You can also adjust its size and opacity.
Will the original PDF be changed?
No. PDFArmy creates a separate watermarked copy and leaves your original file unchanged.
Can I watermark an encrypted PDF?
No. Password-protected PDFs are not supported by this version of the tool.
Are my PDF and logo uploaded?
No. Both are processed in your browser. Only the PDF editing library is loaded from a third-party CDN.
