How to crop PDF pages
Select the part of a PDF page you want to keep. Crop one page at a time or apply the same relative crop to every page, then save a separate PDF copy.
How to use the Crop PDF tool
- Select a PDF. Choose one PDF up to 50 MB from your device.
- Choose the crop area. Drag on the page preview, or set the left, top, width, and height as percentages.
- Apply the crop. Use the current-page button or apply the same relative crop to every page. You can review and adjust each page before saving.
- Download your PDF. Enter an output name and choose “Crop and download PDF”.
What does cropping change?
The crop changes the page's visible and printable area. Content outside that area is hidden, but it is not permanently erased from the PDF. Do not use this tool to remove confidential information.
Privacy and file security
Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to PDFArmy. The PDF preview and editing libraries load from third-party CDNs, so an internet connection is needed. Password-protected or damaged PDFs may not open. Editing a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop just one PDF page?
Yes. Select the page, choose the area to keep, and select “Apply to this page”. Other pages remain unchanged unless you crop them too.
Can I apply the same crop to every page?
Yes. Select the area on the preview and choose “Apply same crop to all pages”. The crop is applied proportionally to each page, including pages with different dimensions.
Does cropping permanently remove the parts outside the crop?
No. The PDF's crop boundary hides content outside the selected area when displayed or printed, but that content may remain in the file. Use a proper redaction tool when you need to remove sensitive information.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. Your PDF is processed in your browser and is not sent to PDFArmy. The required libraries load from third-party CDNs.
